Greenhouse Servers: The Diagram
This diagram provides an overview of how our system is designed to work. As you can see at left, the DataCenter and Greenhouse jointly make up the base of what we do. Please click on the small image to view it real size.
What the diagram doesn’t show is its output of web content and access by webmasters. Those things are implied by the name.
What this shows is the story of how we’ll manage the temperature at both locations, keeping it in the appropriate range. Rather than assaulting heat with a more traditional air conditioner, we treat the heat generated by the DataCenter as a resource, and send it to the appropriate destination depending on need. When the heat isn’t needed by the greenhouse – such as summertime, or days when the sun through the glass provides adequate warmth – heat is redirected to geothermal wells, where it dissipates into the ground.
